National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (September 10-16) is more than an opportunity to thank the nation’s truck drivers for their hard work every day keeping our freight moving; it is a chance to honor them for guiding the thread that keeps our economy together and growing stronger.
ContainerPort Group (CPG) would not have solved the intermodal puzzle over 45 years ago without the help of its fleet of dedicated drivers. CPG is honored to work with over 650 independent contractors, from those who have just signed on this week, to our longtime partners of over 30 years.
President of CPG, Russel A. Graef, expressed his gratitude for the hard working men and woman who transport our freight: “It is with a great pride that I join the rest of our industry in thanking the 3.5 million professional truck drivers for delivering our goods safely and securely each day. With such a demanding and essential job, we appreciate all of the hard work and sacrifice that our drivers and their families make for us. We are grateful for their commitment to tackling one of the toughest jobs in America and for keeping our economy thriving. Thank you for all that you do, and for helping us move America forward.”
CPG continues to salute its independent contractors throughout the year and during NTDAW across their 21 terminal network with “Thank You” banners, activities, giveaways, luncheons, refreshments, cook-outs and more.
