To stay up on industry trends, developments, and advancements in essential technology, we at ContainerPort Group regularly seek out trade shows to attend throughout the year. These shows additionally give us the opportunity to meet with new clients and find prospective drivers and other personnel for our team.
One such trade show we attended was the Mid-America Trucking Show, or MATS 2018, which was held from March 22 to March 24. Check out our overview on the show in the following recap.
About MATS 2018
The Mid-America Trucking Show is recognized as the largest annual heavy-duty trucking event in the world. The 2018 show was held in the Kentucky Expo Center, a 1,000,000-square-foot space that provides plenty of room for featured exhibits and events.
This year, 1,008 exhibitors presented at the show, traveling from 47 states and 13 countries. MATS 2018 also had 71,327 attendees, which included 12,228 fleet attendees and 25,613 driver attendees, who came from all 50 states and 61 counties. Once again, MATS was a huge success and we were proud to be a part of it!
CPG’s Hunting Cabin Container at MATS 2018
One of our major focuses for MATS 2018 was the demo of our 20’ Hunting Cabin Container, which was a joint venture between ContainerPort Group and 4 Points Development.
This demo housed a number of features that highlighted the true potential and versatility of modified shipping containers, such as a wooden interior, a shower, a toilet and sink, a cooking stove, and a workstation.
We’re pleased to announce that our Hunting Cabin Container display was a huge success, as all throughout the event we had people lined up to take a look at its interior and features. We were able to supply attendees with container sales, rental and modification brochures, and we’ve already received some post-show orders! Visit our container sales page for more info.
